IIRC, "hardback" is thick card, covered with paper, although nice to the
touch, sometimes textured. "Cloth cover", methinks, is card that's a little
bit thicker than normal hardback, and with cloth covering it instead of
paper. My copy of the Complete Shakespeare is cloth-covered, and it's a joy
to read.
