There is no tactful way to ask someone if they are having an affair.
I would be absolutely positive that it was MY business. I think the
ONLY way it would be MY business is if it were MY husband having the
affair.
If it is anyone besides your mate, you really have no right to know,
even if it is your best friend, your grown-up child, your parent,
single OR married. If they want you to know, they will tell you. If
they don't want you to know, they will not tell you.
If it IS your husband, I would be very careful. If he is having an
affair and he tells you, the world as you know it, will be
drastically and irreversibly changed. If he is NOT having an affair,
and you ask him, he is going to have some problems with your
suspicions and lack of trust.
