Caius and Rita then both directed us to authors they think deviate 
from this sad pattern (Chesterton and Macdonald, respectively).  
Thanks for the recommendations, and I hasten to point out that my 
beloved UKLeG does say "many fantasy tales," not "all" or even "most."
