Yes, maybe we should compare theatre experiences. I saw it at an
11:30 a.m. show in Washington, DC. Very nice, huge old-style theatre
with balcony.
I counted one crying infant, few pre-schoolers, hordes (think
locusts!) of elementary school students who came on buses, and lots
of adults playing hooky. Much talking and whispering, but not as bad
as I expected. Much spontaneous applause, which surprised me a bit.
Outstanding trailer for the new Scooby Doo movie.
It could have been much worse. We got good seats, and then the
locusts actually sat down behind us. Like 30 of them, all giggling
and whispering. But before the show started, they moved to the
balcony and became someone else's problem. Whew!
