Great recipe for fruitcake

Uh-huh.  I am a proponent of the theory, suggested I believe by Calvin 
Trillin, that there is only one fruitcake in the world.  It just keeps 
getting repackaged in reindeer wrapping paper and sent along to the 
next person.

They do have their uses, however:

"Oh, these people's minds work in strange ways, Petunia, they're not 
like you or me," said Uncle Vernon, trying to knock in a nail with the 
piece of fruit cake Aunt Petunia had just brought him.
