This is the age of digital effects, folks. I'm a third year film
student, and even I could get rid of a few sunbathers on a hillside
if given a few hours with the right program.

One does wonder. When they were shooting Toni Morrison's "Beloved"
on 2nd Street here in Philadelphia, there was a big fuss from the
merchants on the block in question because the production team was
going to have the electric company remove electric supply lines and
commercial signs and other things that would be anachronisms in the
mid-19 century. Perhaps as the editing software gets even better,
this won't be necessary any more. You have to wonder whether it's
less expensive to deal with lawsuits from a couple dozen businesses
or just to pay one computer-literate editor to make it right after
the filming.
