By the way, thanks to all of you who have sent condolences 
about losing my cat.  She was truly a blessing in my life.  
It was hard but it was time.  She had stopped eating about 
three days beforehand and she was losing the strength to 
even lift her head.  She had had a stroke about a year or 
so ago but bounced back very quickly and showed no sign of 
any damage from it.  But about two months ago, I noticed 
little things here and there that were changing so I knew 
the time was coming.  But 18 years for a farm cat is a 
fantastic long happy life for a cat.  She gave me the 
ultimate gift of love, so I gave her the ultimate gift of 
peace. My ferret even seems to miss her.  She's been 
wandering around the apartment looking like she's lost 
something but I'm sure she's just trying to figure out 
where The Kitten is. (Yes...her name was The Kitten.  At 
the time we got her we had three other cats and she was 
just dubbed The Kitten.)
