My last name is Crumb, and my husband and I swore that we would
be incredibly careful in naming our kids so they wouldn't get a
bad name combination... While I love the name Bradley, I would
NEVER name any of my boys that... Brad Crumb... *shudder!* We
went with Matthew, Andrew and Rhys for the boys and Erin and
Rowan for the girls. (the first two were named for other family
members and the last three were named to honor authors that Steve
and I have enjoyed--taking character names...)
I remember thinking my name was wierd because I was the ONLY
person in my school with the name of Bernadette for most of my 12
years of schooling, and my graduating class was over 600 people.
I don't really recall any "odd" names among the classmates I was
around most though...
I do have a Brother in Law named Dick Strange... I'm sure that
the crude would have a lot of fun with THAT name!
Bernadette
