The Movie Costumes

I went to FIDM's Exhibit of costumes from (mostly Oscar-nominated,
but they request to borrow the costumes long before the nominations
are finalized, so they have to guess) movies. Relevance to HPfGU
(enough relevance that I wonder if this should be on the main list)
is that HP was one of the movies. The costumes displayed were the
Bloody Baron, some guy, Harry in school uniform, and Oliver in
Quidditch uniforms (down, down, you Biggerstaff fanatics, the
costumes were displayed on mannequins, not on actors). I was
IMMENSELY disappointed that it didn't include Snape's costume, or
Dumbledore's, or ANY of the teachers.
However, it did include some wands (pinned up on a wall where I
couldn't reach them to see if one would shoot out sparks for me) and
I was pleased to see that just about all the handles were lathed
differently (round-and-round grooves or ridges as a bit of
decoration). Because, while I don't believe that Potterverse wands
really have separate handles, I do believe that they are elaborately
carved and decorated pieces of wood. Much more elaborate than just a
little bit of lathing (maybe a whole lot of lathing!).
One of the wands looked like its handle was a little HAND of darker
wood and a whole bunch of binding matching the lighter colored wood
of the main wand. Tim suggested that that was Ron's broken wand.
Does anyone know?
