Been there, done that.  Yelled at the Teletubbies, whimpered at the 
Tweenies, and was a general basketcase.  Still am, but never mind.  You are 
not alone, Jen; in fact we belong to a *really* big club.

A week after my youngest was born I was watching a news report about a 
newborn baby who was abandoned and found dead in a shopping bag in an 
alleyway.  Such stories always affect me, but I was sobbing hysterically for 
ages and couldn't stop, to the point that DH was actually concerned.  I knew 
it was hormones, and you'd think he'd have known that by then as well.

Ah, well, let's not get into slagging the Y chromosome off again, eh?  At 
least not on-list ;)
