Talking and boring people ... that's an odd one. I currently make
my living by standing in front of people and talking to them for
half an hour on Sunday mornings. And for some strange reason, I
can - and they don't fall asleep on me - and I love doing it.

But speaking in smaller group settings - or even worse,
facilitating meetings - that's a mystery. I guess it's like Neil
says - if I like the people and am excited about the topic, I do
OK. But I don't have that magic something or other that can pull
a group together and warm them up. (And the kind of people who
are good at that tend to get on my nerves - presumably a case of
sour grapes on my part ... )

BTW, I'm curious: is the kind of person who hangs out on this
kind of list typically good at acting and public speaking but
rather shy in direct personal conversation??

Baaaaaa!
