Being boring; public speaking

I'm just the opposite.  I have a horror of speaking in public (can 
just about lead a Seminar if asked, but that's the extent of it), but 
enjoy small groups, personal conversation.  I think I've changed over 
that last few years, though.  I used to be extremely shy - now I can 
meet new people and talk to them quite comfortably.  When Mickey and 
I first got together and I used to have to go to business functions 
with him, I used to insist that he would not leave me on my own, as I 
just didn't have the confidence to mix and mingle and talk to other 
people.  I'm not like that anymore and find it quite easy, although I 
prefer small gatherings to large parties.
