Out of curiosity, Dixie, is your family Dutch? My parents are, but
once we moved to Canada we didn't celebrate St. Nicholas anymore.

Gads, I remember that stuff from almost 30 years ago! I'll let you
in on a secret...it doesn't come off wallpaper either. Needless to
say, Mom was *slightly* annoyed...

I very nearly did something similar a few years ago, when I was
pregnant with one of the munchkins. I was loading my washing machine
(your typical British front-loader with the soap and fabric
conditioner dispenser drawer on the front of the machine) and grabbed
the dishwashing liquid rather than the fabric conditioner. I was
happily squeezing the dishwashing liquid in the dispenser drawer when
I thankfully realized what the hell I was doing. I quickly grabbed
some paper towels and got most of the goop out, all the while calling
myself an array of very interesting names. I ran the load, half-
expecting to find bubbles all over the floor, but thankfully it
didn't happen. I always blame this incident on Unbelievable
Stupidity Caused by Pregnancy. I may have had 40% more blood pumping
through my system, but obviously none of it was reaching my brain.

By the way, I hope you all had a better New Year than I did. I spent
most of yesterday in bed with a thumping migraine. The really sad
part is that I didn't drink any alcohol on the 31st either, because I
could feel the headache coming on. I'm better today, though still
light-headed. Anyway I wish all of you a fantastic 2002!

Cheers!

Mary Ann :)
