Hehe, it's becoming a trend now. :-)

Honestly, I didn't find that much lacking in character development. I
went into LOTR expecting more of a adventure/journey story rather than
a story about *people*. I don't know, but I think what was presented
in the movie gave me a well-enough grasp at who these people are and
what they're all about--with the possible exception of Gandalf.

Woohoo! Yes! :-D

Wasn't that just adorable? I thought it was v. cute the way this was
done.

(Are you sure you don't think this just because he's hot?--hehehehe)

Yeah, me too. I was under the impression it was just nice dwarf mail?

I was expecting the whole for him to grab the moth and use it to
transform to get down from the tower--or something! But what? It
just kinda hangs around while he watches it--HUH?!

It was a different staff.

I think this comes from not being a "bookie"...rather light-hearted
entertainment with not any /real/ serious thought given to it. I know
the story is supposed to be dark, and it is, but with the "removed
fantasy" element to LOTR, I was able to merely watch the movie, enjoy
it, and appreciate the story and cinematic detail. End of story.
