Sorry, but 'shalom' translates quite closely to 'peace', although it 
is etymologicaly related to 'shalem', meaning 'whole'. BTW, there is 
a certain brand of academics who go for the sexual angle, almost at 
all costs. I don't quite know how to describe this attitude - a kind 
of sophisticated eroticism or whatever. Also a good way to draw 
students to deadly dull courses. I've just about had it, anyway.
