>Now look what has happened: I have become a LotR fiend!
Ha Ha Ha! I am not alone! Resistance is useless; you will be assimilated!
Don't look from any help from this quarter...
>
>I have seen the film twice, and I cannot put down the books.
Yes, yes..only make it three times, and trying to figure out how to sneak
out and see it again, since my friends and loved ones think I am stark
staring nuts to sit through a three-hour film even once...
>Argh! Now I have a torch to carry for Aragorn as well as Sirius
>Black!!
I hereby petition Tabouli for a cool acronym for those of us who find
ourselves burdened with not one but TWO fictional crushes. Still hoping
that somehow Mr. Mortenson will get cast in Sirius's role, so that we can
become even further confused...
I even have a mini-torch to carry for Boromir (more available
>than Aragorn, even though he is dead.)
OK, you're going to require therapy for this one. :)
I could even take a fancy to
>Faramir....
He's a much better character than Boromir, IMO. His romance also gets more
"screen time" in the book that Aragorn's so it seems more real, and
strangely enough, I like Eowyn, whereas I want orcs to slice off Arwen's
head. Legolas is too pretty, but I find Elrond fairly decent, though,
especially after seeing the movie.

0%. :) So you take what you can get, and have a rampaging fantasy life.
The scene in RotK where Aragorn tells Eomer that Eowyn only thinks she loves
him (Aragorn), because she sees adventure in him, but she doesn't really
know him--I ask you, where are you going to find that kind of awareness of
the feminine personality and character analysis in a real guy? (OK, my best
friend was like that. It was one of the reasons he was my best friend. But
he was gay.) Even if a guy _wants_ to understand women, he usually doesn't.
And what guy wouldn't want to believe that every female in the world is in
love with him based on his stunning good looks?
Nope, not gonna happen.

>How do others here live with their loopiness? I have got to make a
>plan!
If you find a plan, even a 12-step one, let me know! I have totally and
irrevocably lost it!
>
>Suzanne, whose Elven name is apparently "Indil"
OK, I don't want to learn to speak Elvish, but I would like to know my Elven
name...
