  Hi,
I'm trying to write a crossover fanfic of Harry Potter and
Terminator. Hogwarts students are drawn into the war against Skynet
after the nuclear bombings in 1997 (Judgment Day), later joining the
muggle Resistance militia under John Connor. But I have a few
questions answered, I need it for research. Mostly theories. I need
to know what kind of Muggle weaponry could damage Voldemort and his
Death Eater wizards, if any weapon could affect them at all. I'll go
through a list of categories, let me know what you think.

 1) Bare hands.

Suppose a metal hand was wrapped around the neck of a Death
Eater, it had a steel grip that wouldn't let go. And this killer
could feel no pain. And it was tightening the grip, would not let go
til it made a fist. Do DEs have the same bodily functions and
weaknesses as muggles? Meaning, if it was possible, could someone
break their bones or snap the neck? How much physical pain could a DE
take?

 2) Guns.

I'm not too sure if these would do much. Pistols, shotguns, etc.
What would happen if one was to fire at a Death Eater? I imagine that
the wizard would be out of reach, or would pass harmlessly through
them. Or they could do a spell before someone even POINTS a weapon at
them. Has anyone ever tried hiring a sniper to take Voldemort out?
Just curious.

 3) Military Ammo.

What about more destructive firearms? The automatic, rapid-firing
kind. M-16, AK-47, Uzis, machine guns, etc. If no damage, would it
just knock them back or delay them from retaliating? Also, how about
explosive-type weaponry..like grenades, miniature bombs, land mines.
Or how about a rocket-launcher or Mini-Gatling?

 4) Biological warfare.

What about chemical weapons? SCUD missiles, acid, mustard gas, a
lethal virus. Biohazard-type stuff, chemicals that can kill thousands
of people, the kind with no cure.

 5) Combustible.

What about fire? Can the DEs be burned? I wonder how they react
to flammable and combustible weapons. Flamethrowers, combustible
chemicals, incendiary missiles and bombs, acid, etc.

 6) Nuclear radiation.

Ok, here's the big one. My story sort of relies heavily on this
theory, part of the plot. While I doubt the above mentioned weapons
would be much effective, I'm not too sure about this one. Nuclear
radiation is like an energy weapon, differing from the rest. Atoms,
molecules, nuclear..I just know it's bad. One bomb could take out a
whole city, like in WW2. Nowadays, they're 100 or 1000 times more
lethal. Given the info on today's technology, as destructive as
nuclear bombs are today (some can wipe out an entire country)..would
they affect a Death Eater at all? If so, if nuclear radiation/
warheads can kill a Death Eater..then part of my plot is that
Voldemort and most of his followers were destroyed when the bomb hit
on August 29, 1997. Hogwarts now had a new enemy--Skynet and the
Terminator machines.

 7) Advanced.

This is space-age stuff, weapons from the future. Guns (rifles)
and cannons that fire photon torpedos, lasers, death rays, plasma
charges, electric stuff. In the apocalyptic future-world of the
Terminators, would a Death Eater have a chance of survival? If so, how
much of a chance? Machines (terminator cyborgs, HK jets and tanks,
everything is automated and unmanned) would be nearly countless in
numbers. I think it would be hard for a curse to do much, as the
enemy isn't human, they're all Machines.

And, here's my last one. Of all the modern dangers to Muggles that
I mentioned above, which (if any) would be most lethal to Voldemort
and his Death Eaters? Would they have ANY weaknesses at all? Can they
bleed, be poisoned, or suffer from radiation? I read somewhere that
magic was a form of science in ancient times.
