As a native Kiwi, I grew up on Vegemite, was given Marmite, but
didn't like it, and would drink a cup of milk with a really lot of
milo and sugar mixed in ... mostly milo and sugar, a little bit of
milk.
I am pretty much American now, except I can get my Kiwi accent back
out when I drink heavily, another story altogether ... anyway, I had
a friend in Scotland ship over some vegemite ... and I didn't like it
all that much.
Here's my thoughts on that: Vegemite is an acquired taste. Once you
taste it and like it, if you don't eat it fairly often, well, at
least once in 15 years, you no longer have the taste acquisition, and
have to start all over again. (Yeah, not sure if that sentence was in
the English language, let alone made sense)
Has this happened to anyone else with vegemite or anything else? Or
an I just that wierd? Well, that wierd and dis-acquired a taste for
Vegemite.
Michelle :) <--- who is going to make it a point to re-discover her
lvoe for vegemite during her trip back home in March! :)
