Unfortantunatly my relationship with my mother is almost as bad as
the one with my evil step-father. She always sides with him, even
when I am most positively right. I only stay because I adore my two
younger (half) brothers who are coming up 4 and 2. If I leave home I
wouldn't be allowed to see them anymore.
On a more cheerful note and speaking of aforementioned adorable
brothers. Joseph (almost four) had developed a passion for Disney
videos particularly Peter Pan and The Jungle Book. And to my delight
he insists that I watch them with him (hello second childhood!)
Anyway after much whining on his part, my mother bought him and
Andrew (coming up 2) plastic swords and plastic hooks so they can
play sword fights. It's so sweet, that is until Joe whacks me across
the knuckles with the plastic sword (It REALLY hurt!)
On a similar topic those of you who have children, do your kids get
abbreviations of their names that are not all that similar to their
names? It's just that while Alex (older brother aged 23) and Joseph
get Al and Joe, myself and Andrew get Fie and Ady! It's to do with
the fact that aged twenty-one months Joe couldn't say Andrew so he
called him Ady. Fie is because that's what Alex called me I was born
(he was six but couldn't say S very well). So any intresting
abbreviations/nicknames among you doting mums and dads?
Sofie (who surprisingly still wants to have children despite living
with two small (adorable) fiends!)
