The anti-HP rant on the other list

JKR calls the females 'witches' and named the school Hogwarts School
of Witchcraft and Wizardry. (Does she use the word 'witchcraft'
anywhere else?) If she had called the females 'wizardesses', named
the school Hogwarts School of Wizardry, and replaced any other use
of the word 'witchcraft' by 'wizardry' or 'sorcery', would there be
nearly as many people who think HP is evil?

I am aware that there are people who believe that ANY magic, even
in fantasy, is Satanic, but I would expect those people to dislike
Tolkien as much as Rowling.

As for the rest, I wonder how many of the people who condemn HP
because Harry is a bad person because he sometimes breaks rules,
lies, is rude to Dudley and Draco, enjoys seeing Snape and Dursleys
being disappointed or embarrassed, bla bla bla, wouldn't object
to much of Harry's behavior if they hadn't been searching for
evil because the word 'witchcraft' set them off?

(Myself, I am very fond of the word 'witchcraft' because of its
POSITIVE connections with Wicca, and would prefer that JKR hadn't
used it, because her tales have nothing to do Wicca.)
