Turkish Delight...yikes :-)

All right, Al. Stop bugging me about Turkish Delight and
get back to work on Snitch!. :-)

Yes, folks....please try it yourself and draw your own
conclusions.

But I hated it. Certainly doesn't mean everyone will, of
course. I hate black licorice, too. But that's extremely
popular so....there you go. Not too thrilled with Violet
Crumbles either (Violet? Violent?...hmmm...mind blank but
I think it's Violet). Though there is an Australian candy
bar I loved called Cherry Ripe (or something like that).
My Aussie friends are not allowed to come visit without
bringing me a bag of them.

The Brit area did indeed include everything everyone has
mentioned so far. Including this wonderful hot mustard
stuff I had in Swansea back in 88. So happy to have found
it. Also some great loose leaf tea (which I prefer to the
bagged type) and shortbread cookies and the such.

The most heartbreaking thing about faithful moviegoing
is that awe, beauty and excitement, three of the things
we go to the movies for, are the very things we're
cheated of the most. The great wonder of "The Lord of the
Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" is that it bathes us
in all three, to the point where we remember -- in a
vague, pleasurably hallucinatory sensation from another
lifetime -- why we go to the movies in the first place.
