Katze! Yay - someone else interested in this! <G>

OK, I actually thought Hermione might be an ESTJ - here's the
description on that:

***
ESTJ:
Outgoing, energetic, dependable. Efficient, organized, and decisive.
Likes administrating and being in charge. Excellent at organization
and deciding policies/procedures. Outspoken, assertive, direct.
Responsible, hardworking, goal-oriented, consistent, pragmatic,
practical.
****

Sensors tend to like concrete facts, and when a question comes up,
Hermione definitely dives for her books. Is she a J, though? She is
pretty good with decisions when she has the information, but may
waffle if she's overwelmed.

****
Harry:

ISTP

Prefers action to conversation. Likes adventure and challenge. Does
well in crisis. Likes working with tools, anything requiring hands on
skills. Resourceful, independent, determined. Logical, realistic, and
practical. Reserved, detached, curious observer.
****

Not sure on the N/S thing for Harry - I'm an INTP and think I have
some things in common with him, but he seems to be more of a 'here
and now' guy than I am. Athletes tend to be SPs, so that ties into
the Quidditch thing.

Ron is harder, I think, which probably isn't surprising, as all the
literature on MB says some people don't settle into a definitive type
until out of their teens (if you're split on something, it probably
means you're still working through your preferences on that
function). Characters in a book are a tad bit different, IMO, as they
are written by someone else - but, of the Trio, Ron is definitely
written as the least secure and is still trying to figure out "who he
is". So it make sense that he might be harder to type.

Here's part of the ESFJ description:

***
ESFJ:

Providers are extremely sensitive to the feelings of others, which
makes them perhaps the most sympathetic of all the types, but which
also leaves them rather self-conscious, that is, highly sensitive to
what others think of them. Because of this ESFJs can be crushed by
personal criticism, and will work most effectively when given ample
appreciation both for themselves personally and for the service they
give to others. This is not to say that Providers are afraid to
express their own emotional reactions. They are quick to like and
dislike—and don't mind saying so—tending to put on a
pedestal
whatever or whoever they admire, and to come down hard on those
people and issues they don't care for.

What do you think?
