It always happens this way in TV Land. There
will be a couple with chemistry and because
of
their racial make-up they will be taken off
(somethinghappens and they don't stick it out and end
up breaking up, or she/he moves etc.), and replaced
with a more acceptable love interest, It's.crap!!!It's
because either the actors/producers are uncomfortable
due to hatemail and viewer backlash or other
reasons(personal). I've been watching this happen for
years and it bothers me because there are many other
aspects of relationships out in the world.I
was
fortunate enough to be raised in a very diverse area,
made all types of friends and have been blessed to
have been around many different types of families and
have come to realize that yes there are a few
differences, but for the most part it's all the same.
However, most places in America are still very
segregated and closed minded. Anything that makes
people uncomfortable must be swept under the rug. We
can't grow as a society, or as people if we don't
force ourselves to challenge the things that make us
uncomfortable.
