Transcript of brief BBC Newsround interview by Lizo Mzimba with JKR
at Celebrity Premiere of CoS. Apologies for any errors, as I've
typed it down from the tv...

Lizo: how close are you to finishing the fifth book?
JKR: Weeks rather than days. Because I'm down here [at the Celebrity
Premiere of CoS], I'm not working at the moment, so probably [next
bit blurred with background noise, so might have been 'a few'] five
or more weeks.

Lizo: How many chapters is it?
JKR: Well, at the moment it's 38. I know, Lizo, I know.

Liso: 38!
JKR: Yes. Well, why do you think it's taken so long!

Liso: And what kind of book is it, is it dark, is it light, is it
sort of, y'know, bits of both, cos it's really getting darker, could
you tell us something about the tone?

JKR: It is dark. And there's a bad death in it, which I haven't
enjoyed writing. But I'm really pleased with it so far. Just got to
tweak it a tiny bit more and then you can - well, the publisher's
will have it.
