Karen again:
>>Lately I have been overdosing on the audio tapes. I got them for
Christmas last year and have listened to them over and over. I found
out that there are UK versions read by another actor, so guess what I
am hoping to get this Christmas?<<
Richelle added:
>I'm about to start on those audio tapes myself. Since I'm a teacher
I can get them through Scholastic and earn bonus points to get other
stuff with. They finally had the first set of tapes in there, so I'm
ordering those. I think I'll get the UK ones eventually, when I order
the UK books and movie.<
I found the whole lot at Half Price Books for, well, half price a few
weeks ago. It was the books-on-cd, but that was what I was looking
for. I am sure the tapes could be found there also. It is nice to
have them on long car rides across state. It take me five hours to
get home, so that is practically a whole book round trip.
I was the same way once I learned Stephen Fry was reading the UK
version. How much better would it be to hear a Brit read Harry Potter
than a silly American faking their accent. Not to bash Jim Dale's
reading, but it is not the same. I have to wait to ge those though.
Must pace myself you know.
