Ok, got to jump in here since we've veered in an area that I know
pretty well.  Maine Coons come in every color and pattern EXCEPT
Siamese marked.  I personally used to own a very beautiful dilute
calico girl Coon.  This is just like regular calico except blue
(non-showing people think grey) and cream instead of black and red.

The colors without tabby patterns are harder to find, but they are out
there.

Your lad sounds like a darling.  I always enjoyed when mine went to
sleep upside down, legs spread out and totally relaxed.  Always
figured sleeping on their heads is why they occasionally fell off
things.
