Hello, all. Emerging from deep dark lurkdom because I found something that
made me chuckle.
I am currently reading one of Charles De Lint's recent short story collections
called "Tapping the Dream Tree". In one of the stories is a pragraph which
reads:
<<I stare out the kitchen window. It looks out over the backyard and from my
second-floor vantage I can see almost all the way down the block, a narrow
quilt of backyards. A big orange cat is crying outside of Mrs. Rowling's back
door, trying to scrounge a meal. Mr. Potter is weedking his garden again -
like a weed would dare make an appearance among his flowers and vegetables.>>
Anyway, I certainly enjoyed the references, and got a grin out of them. I
hope you all did, too. If anyone is currently looking for a good read,
anything of De Lint's is very good.
Thanks for your time.
Jeralyn, the Voicelady
