Hey!

I'm new to the list but anyone who's on the main message board will
probably recognize my name.

I was going to keep my mouth shut on this matter because I hated to
repeat what's always been said, but I've given into temptation and
must weigh in on my favorite HP man.

No surprise, it's Lupin. In my estimation, he really is the perfect
man. They certainly don't make 'em like this in real life -- and if
they have, PLEASE let me find one.

<<<Now following in that vein, out of all the "of age" characters in
Potterverse, Lupin does seem to be the best catch. Sure he's poor as
dirt, but he's intelligent. Good with kids. Creative (he came up with
that obstacle course idea for the DADA final exam...I'd call that
creative, wouldn't you?) So he turns into a werewolf once a
month...at least you know it's coming, and you can remind him to take
the potion.>>>

Me, me, me!!!:
I agree 100% with everything Gail says. His intelligence is an
especial attraction. I've always had this thing for nerds (i.e.
really brainy guys) so Lupin's irresistible in my book. It doesn't
hurt that he's such a kind, caring, decent guy.

But that leads me to my other favorite aspect of Lupin -- he's the
best of both worlds. He's got the whole civilized man/animal thing (I
mean that figuratively, not literally). I mean, the "wolf" in him
must peek out at times when he isn't transformed **wink, wink, nudge,
nudge**. One wonders if he wouldn't prove a nice combination of
sensitivity and aggression.

*sigh*

More Lupin please, JKR!
