Men of Harry Potter

Well, since swooning over fictional characters is my
favorite past time lately (hello Legolas and Sirius),
I thought I'd go right ahead and swoon some more. :)

Just keep him away from the furniture when it's "That
Time of Month". <Sigh> "Honey, that's the fifth
couch we've had to buy this year!" Of course, as some
women have already astutely pointed out, at least he'd
be a man who would understand what it's like to turn
into a raging beast once a month. :) I'd say that
Lupin is my second choice, right behind Sirius. I'd
love to take Lupin home, get him fed, and patch his
clothes up for him. I think he needs some nurturing,
which I would be willing to provide. :)

I think I like Sirius so much because I'm half
Italian. All that passion and intensity makes me
swoon. I love the drama, love the loud discussions
where someone says, "What were you fighting about?"
and you say, "We weren't fighting, we were just having
a discussion." The animal part would be great too.
He's a husband, father, and family pet all rolled into
one. No more trips to the vet and no more need to buy
dog biscuits. :)

He's the guy that I'd roll my eyes at and pull a
disgusted face. But then I'd probably laugh at how
absurd he is.

I'll take Movie!Snape. He doesn't seem to have the
hair grease problem that Book!Snape does. And if he
said anything mean or rude, I'd be too busy swooning
over his sexy deep voice to notice. :)
>
> 5. Dumbledore: nah...too much the grandpa figure.
I don't like 'em quite that old.
>

I'll go with Bill. Charlie would be nice to have as a
brother-in-law but I just find Bill sexier. He's got
that James Bond-ish, movie star action hero sort of
job. Plus I'd love to see Egypt. And the long hair
appeals to me too. And I think Gail is right, he
would look fabulous in leather pants.

Hmm, this is an interesting one. I'm not sure how I
feel about it. He's definitely clever as he managed
to hoodwink even Dumbledore. I admire that. But I
think his attraction to the dark side would put me
off.
>
> 8. Moody: I'll pass!
Moody's a little too paranoid for me. I'll have to
pass on that one. :)
>

> Too skinny and snake-like.
Well, Tom Riddle sounds very physically appealing but
I think I'd probably get tired of his constant ranting
about how much he hates his Muggle family. <Yawn>
Plus the attraction to snakes just doesn't do it for
me. As for Voldie, bring him on! I have always
wanted a man with a high-pitched voice and glowing red
eyes. Just kidding!

I think he'd be too obsessed with Quidditch to pay
enough attention to me. He'd be fun at first and it
would be great to date a big sports star but I think
I'd get bored of constantly rehashing the latest
Quidditch matches over dinner.

> never had one on him. Oh, and he's dead, too.
Married=off limits to me. Okay, sure, I'm married and
I still have crushes on fictional characters and movie
stars but, for some reason, I just can't have a crush
on one who is married. Go figure. :)

If I were the same age as them, I think I'd be more
attracted to Ron. I think that Harry is a lovely
person but I'd like Ron's sarcastic humor as it's very
close to my own sense of humor. I would also
appreciate his bravery and willingness to stick his
neck out for people he cares about.

Oh yeah, I'm all about Gred and Forge. They're
athletic, have a fantastic sense of humor, and are
fiercely protective of their friends. However, I do
think that I'd be embarrassed by the lengths they're
willing to go to get attention but I have to say that
I think there'd never be a dull moment with either of
them, so that's a definite plus. I also like how they
do not let things faze them. I could use some lessons
on that!
> Hagrid - He's a half giant... I'm 5'2".. hehe.
Hagrid's also too tall for me. Plus, as sweet as I
think Hagrid is, I'd get really annoyed with his
always bringing home some dangerous or destructive
creature. "That's it! It's either the blast ended
skrewt or me, Hagrid!"

I'll pass on Ludo, thanks. The last thing I need to
is to date another dishonest man. :)
What about Percy? He's too pompous for me but I would
appreciate his extreme seriousness when it comes to
academics. It's always nice to be with a man who has
a lot of drive to succeed at his career but then I
think Percy is the type to be a bit neglectful of his
significant other because he is such a workaholic.

Oooh, I feel a cat fight coming on. ;) In the midst
of all the hair-pulling, magazine pages would be
flying everywhere!

Yes, I agree. There's always the Dead Sexy!Mrs.
LeStrange to discuss at least! Well, maybe more
appealing female characters will be introduced in the
coming books and then the men will take the list over
with their hormone-drenched messages about the sexy
women of the series. :) Of course, they'll have some
stiff competition as there will be more Sirius and
Lupin in future books. Come on, JKR! We ladies need
some new Sirius and Lupin material to swoon over!
~Nicole, who wonders why her husband thinks she's a
raving lunatic. ;)
