Actually, it wasn't that bad. True it made my state look stupid again
but after Forrest Gump, it's hard to convince anyone that we are
intelligent. And her accent wasn't nearly as obnoxious as it could
have been. But I'm from the south end of the state, and it's
different here on the coast. But it could have been so much worse. I
was worried that it would end up more on the "if you are from
Alabama, you must be an inbred hick" end of the spectrum. The girls
from my medical school class decided that we would see it together
opening night. We laughed, we sang along (they left out part of the
refrain to Sweet Home Alabama, don't they know there is a Roll, Tide,
Roll in there) and basically forgot our books for an evening. Oh
well, now I am rambling and I need to get back to class.
