Please tell me someone can make Bordeaux cookies!

Okay, so here's my dilemma.
I love Pepperidge Farm Bordeaux cookies.
More than I should, of course... I think
it's the texture that really does it for
me.
Anyway, do any of you have a cookie recipe
for something similar? I remember making
some really yummy crunchy oatmeal lace
cookies (Swedish in origin, I believe) when
I was in the 6th grade for a project, but
that recipe is long gone. Besides, that
always turned out kinda chewy after a few
hours.
So, I'm looking for a REALLY crispy/crunchy
cookie with a bit of a brown sugar/molasses/
golden syrup flavor, spreads crumbs all
over you, and is nice and flat and NOT SOFT
AT ALL. The kind of recipe that instructs
you to melt the butter first. I suppose I
could use up all the flour in the house
trying to make one of my own, but I think
I'd go crazy, and my husband would KILL me
for dirtying all his clean dishes. ;)
Hopefully waiting,
JenP (who has a really bad habit of eating
sugary things when she's stressed out, and
who has been REALLY stressed out today, so
maybe you're not doing me any favors by
giving me a recipe for a whole BATCH of
yummy cookies...)
