I know, I know...my son is the token HP this year, and I've been focusing on getting everything for *his* costume.  I got a kids dracula cloak...not a robe, but it will work nonetheless.  Daddy has a really old and tacky red tie that I'm going to hot-glue
gold felt stripes on for Gryffindor colors.  My son is blond, so I mentioned he might want to go as Malfoy, but he just gave me a weird look.  So I bought a can of temp hair paint in black.  We're sanding and staining a nice stick for the wand.  Had to wait for payday so we can go to "D.I." (Deseret Industries, a very large thrift store with Utah roots...Kristi can vouch for that), which I hope to do tomorrow.  I'm still working on the white oxford, grey sweater and pants.  


No, I don't live vicariously through my children...whatever are you talking about?

Now, while we're out, if I can find some stuff for me, I might be Ginny.  I've been thinking about coloring my hair lately...I'm one of those lucky ones that has premature greying in my family tree, and I've been highlighting my brown hair to try to hide the little buggers, but now it's time do an all-over thing.  Like auburn. :-)  

I love my Frankenstein earrings, though!  They're my Halloween tradition!  I'd probably wear them with the Ginny outfit.

If I can't pull together a Ginny outfit before Halloween, I'll try to do it for the movie.  My son and I are going on the 15th.  What do you think...a 3 1/2 foot tall Harry and a 5'6" Ginny?
