Glad I am entertaining someone. :) Actually, I was going to drive
around to shops in Lewisville after work tomorrow. I am still on the
search for black wool, and since we do live in Texas, it is hard to
find. I was going to stop by the secondhand stores looking for skirts
as well, but if you find one please email me as to where. This
blasted skirt is somewhere in Texas.
>>>Anyone know of a store where I could get a clasp for the front of
my robe?<<<
After long study of the CoS poster book once again, I've decided that
the clasps are really extremely easy to make. It looks like two cut
pieces of felt and two self-covered buttons should do the trick. Oh
with a loop to go around the buttons for one or each side. Since
there are two such clasps for the robe, it should hold well. It
should also be easy to hand sew the simple felt on the robe and the
self-covered buttons are an easy little gadget you can get at any
fabric shop. Extremely cheap too. Or you could by already made
buttons also. Don't want to throw that option out. I think Richelle
said she was using frog to close hers. Those will look quite nice too.
I you really want a pre-made clasp...
When I got the kid's Halloween outfit, a clasp came with it. So if
you just want to go that route, I say stop at Target.

Who is determined to find this illusive skirt if she has to drive all
over DFW to do so. Nothing like the search.
