Or you could be Lily and Petunia, if your sister is really skinny. As a side
note, repeat after me: "I'm a *fan*, not a freak; I'm a *fan*, not a freak..."

And poor Melody wrote with great difficulty using her good arm:

Well, you only have to stir the pot if you care whether or not it turns out
splotchy, and I'm guessing that the splotchier Harry's clothes are, the happier
Petunia will be. ;->

For the future reference of anybody who wants to dye something, I've used the
washing machine method a couple of times with good success (after using the pot
method and then needing 3 days to recover the use of my arm :-) ). You use the
"small" load size and hot water, and toward the end of the agitation cycle,
open the lid so that it doesn't rinse right away. The drawback is that my
smallest load size on my washer uses quite a bit more water than the pot
method, so if you want a dark color you will probably have to use 2 packages of
dye. I also make it a point to either run the washer empty before washing
clothes, or make sure that the next load I do is dark colors. I haven't
stained anything... yet.
