Oh yes, Sir Ian would be fantastic. I think he'd make a much better
Dumbledore, RH didn't have enough of the life and whimsy I associate with
Dumbledore - although whether that was because his heart wasn't in it or
whether it was a result of the script/direction I'm not sure.
Sir Ian showed as Gandalf that he could switch from harmless eccentric to
scary kick-ass wizard and back again at will.

Mostly because he didn't really want it. It was a "gift for his 
grandaughter." Which I do understand.

Maybe they'll get Ian McKellan ...
