Richard Harris's claim to fame

What I didn't know about Harris until he died was that he 
wrote "MacArthur Park."  HE WROTE IT!  HE'S the twisted genius who 
wrote that thing about leaving the cake out in the rain, and how long 
it took to bake it!  I feel as if a cultural icon sailed past me and 
I didn't even know it.  I've never even *heard* that darn song and I 
still know those legendary lines, which qualify him as either the 
worst or best songwriter of all time, depending whom you ask.
