I certainly do.  After all, what's in the house when I'm there is far 
more worth protecting than what's there when no one's home.

Having said that, my parents live in a rural area, and they lock the 
front and side doors when they're home, but the back door is only 
locked at night or when they're out.  Then again, they also have 
large dogs on the property.
