Maybe I'm also revealing my ignorance, but wouldn't that abrogate
your 14th Amendment?
The one about "No state shall make or enforce any law which shall
abridge the privileges ... of citizens of the United States ... nor
deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of
the laws."
