Ah, now I know where most of my daughter's teachers received
their degrees ;).
I'm used to the German school system, where you have to
repeat the year if your grades don't measure up, but here
(in our part of Oregon) it seems everybody moves on to the
next grade, no matter what.
Is this the case everywhere in the US?
Our daughter also seems to be one of the few who actually
arrives at school on time and has her homework done.
Many kids are dropped off at all hours, missing large parts
of the curriculum and interrupting the lesson when coming in
late.
And I truly detest having to go around the neighborhood
begging for money for the school, or selling stuff, because
there is never enough money!
The measures granting money for the schools always lose, for
some reason :(
Sorry for the rant, but it's good to talk about this
sometimes!
