Brit Speak - 'Wotcher Harry...'?

I'm posting this here because it's really too small to clutter up the
Main list, so...

What the heck does 'Wotcher' mean?

It's used several times in the book. Amoung others, Tonks greets Harry
with 'Wotcher, Harry...'.

At first I thought is was someone's name. That they were talking to
someone not acknowledged in the scene, but after it happening several
times, that didn't seem to make sense.

So.... Wotcher...?

Just a thought.
