There are different rules for tennis and for major league baseball.  
The composition and dimensions of baseball bats are strictly defined 
and limited.  A corked bat is lighter at the end and allows for a 
greater speed during a swing, making it possible to drive a baseball 
farther, thereby conferring an unfair advantage over a lawful bat.
