Me:

I cannot see JKR freely discussing such major plot points as 
eventual relationships in such an offhanded manner.  I think JKR was 
alluding to the scene in OoP where we see Hermione kissing Ron on 
the cheek, which was very sweet, but hardly conclusive.  
Loved the book, BTW!
