So let me summarize, they consistently keep giving you more money as
long as you keep proving you don't need it, and as long as you keep
proving that you do need more money/resource, they keep taking them away?

Then they raise your taxes so they can afford to continue to do the same.

Is that a fair assessment?

Again we are stuck with people/politicians who are desparately trying
to modify the symptoms so as to disguise them, because once they have
sufficiently disguised the problem and sufficiently distracted the
votes, they can comfortably go back to ignoring the problem.

...or did I misunderstand?
