As a physician at the other end of a medical career, let me recommend 
to all and sundry who want to laugh their glutei maximi off at an 
intern's year, read "The House of God" by Samuel Shem, M.D. (a nom de 
plume to protect the guilty).  This roman a clef left me literally 
breathless from laughter-- and incontinent to boot.  The funniest 
thing is, all the events mentioned in the book have actually happened 
to me personally or to my colleagues.  For those who are fortunate 
enough to find this gem, let me say that I have tried the lasix 
formula, and it does indeed work!
