I've got two guesses.
1. "Toni Morrison's genius enables her to create novels that arise
from, and express, the injustices African Amercians have endured."
2. "Toni Morrison's genius enables her to create novels that arise from
and express the injustices endured by African Americans."
And, to the person who said that "arise" and "express" should be
pluralized because "novels" is plural - that's not how it works. (You
can't really pluralize those words, anyway, so I am assuming you mean
to add "s" or "es" to them.)
