That sounds very plausible to 
me...that and the fact that it 
may be years before Scholastic 
will be campaigning for this 
series again (when Year 6 comes 
out) so certainly they would 
want to make the most of THIS 
blessed event in terms of sales 
and publicity.  Gotta make up 
for the 'lean years' to come, 
so to speak.
