I'm always unconfortable seeing what people actually look like. I
prefer to make my judgements based on what they say.  I do form mental
images of various people who stand out in the groups, and those images
are invariably wrong.

In a society where we allow ourselves to make snap judgements about
people based on the way they look, I think it's better not to know.

That said, while I'm not posting a photo of myself, I will point out
that I have a slightly disguised and not extremely current photo of
myself in my profile.

It is an adult profile, but there is nothing there that would be
objectionable to anyone of any age. It's just 'adult' to make it
crystal clear to anyone who might look, that I am not a kid.
