Philip Pullman trilogy - try the unabridged tapes

I totally agree....except... did anyone else fond the music on these tapes 
absoulutely excruciating? It seems to be de rigeur for certain audio books to 
have pretty mediocre music between sections, but I really did think this was 
bad.

Who's now started reading the trilogy in print and can't help but hear the 
narrative in Pullman's voice.
