Iggy here:

Personally, the only "Britspeak" words I tend to use (and have for a
LONG
time) are "bloody", "bloomin'" and "git."  (Usually when describing
someone
as a bloody git, or a bloomin' git.)  Dunno where I picked it up, since
I
grew up in central California... probably from a book somewhere.

Of course, in the US, the last thing a straight guy wants to ask someone
is
"Can I pinch a fag?"   Over here it has an ENTIRELY different meaning.
(And
it just might get you laughed at, slapped, or propositioned by some
guy.)

guess.....  "Can I bum a cigarette?"  Is that right??
