All right, I'll bite.  ;-)

My spider story is also kind of a coming of age story.

One time when I was a teenager, I was taking the dog out the back door
for a walk, and as I was passing my Dad, I pointed out a
middling-sized spider on the floor.

"Well, step on it!" he said.

Teenager or not, I was used to doing what he told me.  I stepped on it
without even thinking about it.

Turned out it was pregnant.

A couple dozen tiny spiders came out of it and began running all over
the floor.  I screamed and pointed.  "Step on them!" my Dad told me.

"No, YOU step on them!" I yelled back, and went right out the door.

I didn't do everything I was told after that.
